My current work addresses the negotiation of my childhood gender identity, and the uncomfortable discovery of myself as a male. Through reminiscing over barriers in past familial relationships, I acknowledge the gender divide between my four elder sisters and myself, detached from the female group. It is through such control that fantasy emerges through restraint, and through such childhood misunderstandings and discovery of sexuality that innocence is corrupted through the complexities of adult life.
