MA Communication Design
I am a recent graduate of the MA Communication Design course where I specialized in illustration. My work centers around appreciating the bizarre in an attempt to escape the banal. Contrasts are important in my work, both in content, and media. Visually, I have been interested in spanning a range of different approaches to investigate my aesthetic needs; namely screen-printing, collage and photography. I love vibrant colour, cutting and pasting, and collecting things; to produce work with an eclectic and handmade approach. Inspired by fairgrounds, Mexican popular culture, Child beauty pageants and play; my work represents a naivety in which we approached things as children.
