MA Printmaking
The awareness of things past derives from two distinct but often conjoined traits: antiquity and decay. I have always been interested in vintage items as well as objects and places with some historical context. I have continuously been inclined towards searching and capturing familiar objects and places from the unfamiliar environment I am in, to incorporate into my work. A key element in my recent works revolves around emphasizing the beauty of decay symbolizing the memories of the absent and the deeper meaning of the present. I aim to portray this meaning through the technique of layering.
