BA (Hons) Fashion Journalism
Charlie Barnett grew up in Weybridge, Surrey. As a youngster she had dreams of becoming a ballet dancer and a writer. She remembers reading anything and everything; from the graffiti on the desks at school, rather than a textbook to the Funday Times, Girl Talk and cereal packets. Despite a disheartening English teacher in her school years, Charlie still managed to fulfill her ambition of studying at the London College of Fashion. An extremely hard working individual, with an appetite for fresh and unusual stories, Charlie has learnt how to use her ability to work under stress to her advantage. Despite her love for Vogue, Sex and the City and all things pink, Charlie is no fashion victim with a passion for graphic design and a keen eye for photography. Her natural communication and organisational skills have served her well at both University and whilst working for companies such as, Popworld, Max Clifford Associates and 19 Management. She believes life should be lived to the full and is always up for a challenge. Despite many sleepless nights, Charlie is determined to achieve her ultimate goal of publishing her own magazine.
