BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles
A tropical amazon oasis bursting with an abundance of exotic and vibrant plant life enticing reptiles and insects into a haven of tranquillity. The inspiration for my 2008 collection. Textiles in the forms of embroidery and embellishment with a stronger emphasis on dye and print techniques have become the focus for my designs. Warm summery tones have been dyed onto light floaty feminine silk chiffon and dupion accompanied by screen print and gold foil overlay creating versatile outfits suitable for everyday wear from beach to evening. A collection that is individual yet wearable for a sophisticated woman who wants to be confident and sexy. Experiences and knoledge gained throughout the time at London College of Fashion have widened my outlook in life, giving me the confidence and determination to create this collection.
