BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Merchandising
A highly organised individual, seeking new opportunities to develop own independence and further awareness of the working environment. Willing to perform any task set and able to work on own initiative. A friendly and fun person with strength of character who enjoys undertaking new challenges and working in teams as well as an individual. Hard working and polite with excellent communication skills. I have a strong interest in the fashion industry in particular the design and management elements. I find these very fascinating. I am keen to learn the importance of how the two very powerful areas interact with each other to drive the business. Within the Buying and Merchandising programme I have completed projects in various different subject areas including Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Retail Operations and Cultural and Historical Studies. I have undertaken an ongoing work experience placement in the buying offices of Dorothy Perkins and Topman, which have developed my skills and enhanced my studies as I was able to the theory in practise.
